Ice Cream Makes People Happy! By Kahiwa
“I love dessert. All kinds. But there’s something about ice cream that makes me happy. I am perplexed by the endless supply of constantly growing flavor options. And I am always in the mood for sprinkles and a sugar cone” - Rachel Nichols. More ice cream in the house can make everyone happy. Ice cream makes people feel excited. It is also less unhealthy compared to desserts like candy. Lastly, it makes people feel better because it helps with stress.
Who doesn’t get excited about eating ice cream? An American actress and model says “ice cream makes me happy”. If an American actress and model is excited about ice cream than other people should be excited too. Studies show that the cold stuff lights up your brain or the center in your brain that makes you feel happy (Mcglone). Imagine what it would be like to be happy everyday.
Ice cream doesn’t only make people excited, it is also healthier than candy. It has 2 grams of protein whereas many popular candies have zero. Ice cream is also better than drinking milk because one half of a cup of vanilla ice cream provides 137 kilocalories of energy, which is probably twice the amount of one half cup of whole milk. Ice cream is also really rich in carbohydrates, which makes it a really good energy dense food (Marie).
Ice cream makes people feel better and de-stresses them too. This is because they feel relaxed and don’t want to do anything else. In the article "Two Food Comparisons" it states that there are 201 calories in ice cream, which is 133 calories less than how many calories candy usually has. Ice cream also has 3.52 grams of protein and candy usually has zero. And, protein is really good for people (Two Food Comparison).
Some people might argue that ice cream isn’t good for you, and or it makes you get cavities. However, ice cream has protein and protein is really good for you. It also is way better than drinking milk because it has 137 kilocalories in half of a cup, which is twice the amount of half a cup of whole milk.
If people don’t eat ice cream, they may never get rid of stress. Additionally, they miss out on relaxation and some of the health benefits. Why aren’t people going out and getting ice cream? Go and get that ice cream right NOW!

  1. I appreciate how you referred to scientific research so people know that the facts that you wrote was true and factual. Something you might consider is just fixing small grammatical errors.
